      Ok, sorry i havent been on here in a couple days but i do have some good news, i fixed my computer, i had to reformat but its fixed now, i have another problem though  i cant seem to get my sound to work can someone help.

      Whenever you format...not reformat ...all drivers will need to be re-installed...
      MBoard/chipset drivers should always go first.
      They will be on a Driver CD that shipped with the machine.

          Ok i found the cd and when i put it in it goes to "dimension AMF resourceCd version: A07, then it tells me what drivers i have and if you click on them you some info but you can download the actual driver, Maybe im dumb but can someone help

            Hi, if you delete the other partitions on the harddrive you will have unused space on your harddrive. Install on C:\  you will be given the option to install over/ along side(I foegot the actual wording) OR a clean install. choose a CLEAN INSTALL

            It will then be formatted, and a clean install will begin (if there is a problem it will tell you). you will need the product key, usually on the side of the P.C. case.

            The other 2 partitions you can decide what to do after you have installed XP:
            you can see whats in them in MY COMPUTER

            Now a days P.C. manufacturers use a seperate partition to provide instructions and acopy of your pc if anuthing goes wrong.

            you can use a partition manager to alter the size, delete or expand a partition
