Windows XP Help
« on: March 16, 2009, 07:38:05 PM »
I have a Gigabyte S-Series motherboard, a GeForce 8600 card, Intel Core2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz, 2 GB RAM.

I start up my computer and it goes to the welcome screen. When I click on my name, it tells me it needs to activate windows. I go inside to activate it, and it then tells me that Windows is activated and to click OK. I click OK, and it brings me to the welcome screen. I click on my name, and it tells me it needs to activate Windows.......

This all came about when I installed SP3. I'd been avoiding it, because I didn't want to "activate" my windows again. So. Please help, and please tell me I don't have to wipe my computer....

I just did a system restore in Safe Mode and all is well. But I can't delete my own post so.... could someone do that for me?
