Is there a power supply adapter?
« on: May 03, 2005, 05:32:47 AM »
Hello ya'll,
I am attempting to build a computer. The specs: M/B A8N-SLI-Deluxe, C/P AMD 64 3500+, Dual Corsair 1GB memory, 500W Casedge P/S, dual BFG Geforce 6800GT GPU's, and of course lot's of fans!! The problem is the mother board has a place for an EATX power supply, I have the ATX. I've connected one where it works but was told I also need the EATX. Is there an adapter for it? At this point I would hate to have to buy another power supply.
I messed up with the video cards as they aren't PCI express so I put one in the computer for the kid's and am hoping to exchange the other for a Asus Extreme N6800Ultra, and then save up for the second one.
Just a word of caution, careful what you say to your wife. I told mine I wanted to build a computer, so for XMas she bought me a case and said "go to it". I've learned alot but do not believe I'll be doing again. Thanks
