XP PROBLEM
« on: May 04, 2005, 04:44:11 PM »
Hi Group,

I am having a problem loading an older version of cakewalk onto my friends laptop. I have 2 towers a 95 and XP and a new laptop XP upon which I loaded the program no bother. On my friends I get the message:-
C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows application.
He had for some reason his XP changed to Millenium which he did not like and back to XP by his son. Is this the reason why the program will not load and what can I do to get it load.
I have loaded the right click on folder to open in DOS from MS powertoys for XP on all 3 XP's. As far as I know the program has nothing to do with MS-DOS.
Would be grateful for any suggestions.

Best wishes

Dave E
