    My computer at work is doing the same exact thing except I have no lines on the white screen. Everything else runs fine.

      I ran my AVG 8.5 and Microsoft Malicious Software Tool Removal. They all say no infections. I can install Malwarebytes but it won't run and I don't know enough to figure out how to make it run. I'm afraid I'll damage something.

      Go to the C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware folder.

      Right click on the icon named mbam and choose Rename.

      Rename it to abc123 or some other random name. After renaming it, double click it and see if it will run now.
