Hi all,

Just thought I'd start a topic on Battlefield 2. Just interested to know if anyone from these forums plays the game, what servers they play in and any decent gameplay tips or hints that may be of use...

Battlefield is pretty much the only game me and my brother play. I specialise as either sniper or plane pilot and i'm not really fussy about what servers I play in.

I quit playing online because of all the cheaters. I only play locally at LAN parties now.

That sounds like 'bad loser' talk to me...

Nah, I get fed up with cheaters sometimes but most Battlefield 2 servers have admins online and it only takes a quick message to them to get the cheaters kicked or banned. If all else fails, I use XFire to take screen shots and videos of offenders and report them to PunkBuster via the email address below...

Bad loser? No, not really. I don't have a problem if someone is better than me. I have a problem when someone manages to kill 3 different people in 3 different areas of the map within a few seconds with a sniper rifle. Seen it too many times and just got sick of it. Even with Punkbuster, it seems whatever their doing goes undetected.

I don't really care anymore. I quit playing that game almost a year ago. Got kinda bored with it.

I agree with you quaxo, I used to be a heavy BF2142 player and all I ever saw Punkbuster do was cause troubles for perfectly legit players.
Played on one server where the entire opposing team were invincible - one got ran over, shot in the head, and then hit with an orbital strike, he just carried on walking and shot me to pieces.
I was less than impressed.
Never played BF2 though.

Me and my brother have both battlefield 2 and 2142 and all add-ons.. but we always end up playing standard bf2..
