    Haha hey guys whats up!

Anyway my problem is this: I would like to take the hard drive out of a computer (Macbook pro 15in) and place it inside a standard computer now I realize it is sata however i dont know if it will fit the standard sata thats found in most desktop comps. Oh and mind you the Macbook pro no longer works however the harddrive still works. I cant even plug in a DVI cable and use my monitor.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't putting an apple operating system on a windows computer illegal?  Are you saying you are going to keep the operating system and everything on the hard drive, just move it to a desktop computer?  Is the desktop a windows or mac computer?  Sometimes macs only work with macs, windows with windows.

you guys love jumping to premature conclusions.

Maybe they just value their data? remember the mac no longer works- they might just want their data.

However obviously as you've said it breaks Apples terms of use.

I do however believe they use the same connectors.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

I was just verifying puadashes information.  I have no idea really if they use the same connector but I dont know. Hmmm maybe they do.  Look at the hard drive and if it looks like any of the things on the page linked then it will work.  I think.

Haha.  Yes, mac hard drives have the same "connectors."  It's industry standard sata drives.

There's a lot more involved in getting the apple os on a pc than simply hooking up a mac hard drive to it.  If this is what he's trying to do, it's not going to work.
