    Left over "popups"
    « on: April 18, 2009, 03:30:56 PM »
Don't think it's a virus question as the computer is clean after running all virus/malaware cleaners etc.
After visiting a trusted website, upon exiting, the page is left with various popups (ie join a gym, win shopping for a year, get cash loans etc).
It happens with IE and also sometimes with Firefox, and whilst annoying, these are just closed individually.
What's causing this and is there a way to stop them?
    Many Thanks

Drat!! Did a search and found one for popups. It talks about changing the privacy options within IE which l'll have a go at.
Sorry if l've wasted anyone's time, unless of course there are other reasons why "pop unders" are left over.
