hey for some reason in the past couple weeks my internet has been getting slower some sites load alright and others take forever, if they load at all. Any suggestions? dont know anything about computers so please be basic

Try the usual stuff:

run anti-spyware software
clear your internet cache and cookies etc
update your PC using Windows update
Ensure anything you've installed recently isn't connecting to the Internet for unnecessary reasons

Is windows defender an anti-spyware software? How do i check to see if anything is using the internet unneccessarily? also, recently the internet will just stop working and say "internet explorer is trying to restart"

Can i delete the software that i downloaded from speedtest. Also when i turn my computer on it asks me if i want to run the norton firewall and turn off my windows firewall, but my norton subscription expired a while ago what should i do for this?

i mean its fasts sometimes. but it will do stuff like freeze or when i hit close nothing happens and i have to go to the taskbar or the internet will restart itself or the worst is when new windows infinitely keep popping up and i have to restart the computer

One thing, I missed...

Unless you installed Viewpoint Manager knowledgeably...
Go Start>Control Panel>Add\Remove (Programs and Features in Vista), and...
Uninstall any of the following programs associated with Viewpoint:
* Viewpoint Manager
* Viewpoint Media Player
* Viewpoint Toolbar
This program does not do anything bad such as deliver ads or spy on you, but it is considered foistware ("drive-by-install") as it is installed without your consent through programs like AOl, AIM, Compuserve, etc.
