end task doesn't always END TASK !!!

Hi to forum users.. I am a newbie, so hopefully someone can help.
When I experience a problem and wish to end the task, whenever I press alt crl del, the programme doesn't quit... instead Task manager keeps opening another line.. and that is repeated for a long time..it is driving me nuts

Hi Broni..thank you for replying.. I may not have expressed the issue the best way, so will try again.... i.e

I am running windows messenger, also (e.g only) internet explorer, and blah blah

blah blah isn't responding... end task window appears
I say yes, and attempt to end the task
A new line appears below the tasks that are running, asking if I want to end the blah blah task, even tho blah blah appears at the top of my  tasks.
Even tho I highlight blah blah, end task continually opens on another line, below those at the top..e.g messenger, and IE
The more I press end task, the more times it appears, also in my task bar.

I hope that explains my problem Broni.

uninstall blah blah. I've never heard of that program. What does it do?

hehehe, other then the joke about the Blah Blah program...
Another way to do this task kill.

Open Task Manager -> Ctrl+Alt+Del
then select the program that you wish to close and right click on it.
Select go to process.
Then when it selects it, right click again and either kill the task or all associated tasks.

Give that a go, should work better.

That is normal...in task mamager when its shutting down a program you will see another task start up. This is to complete what you asked the system to do...shut down another task. Once the task is closed the other entry that you see popup will close by itself.

If you find that you are forcing a program closed this way a lot than I would suggest you look into why the program needs to be forced closed.
