Have any of you tried BitDefender, you can download weekly updates in a flash disk if you do not have an access to the internet 24/7.
    It looks like this:

I agree with quaxo, I use Kaspersky too and I thinks it's the best out there.

Yeah, Kaspersky is nice, but I didn't want to pay for it. So Avast is on my pc for now. However.... is Panda's cloud antivirus any good? See the link here:  http://www.cloudantivirus.com/

Panda Antivirus I hear is a decent antivirus software (the paid version) so I expect their cloud antivirus to be somewhat good?

In a hypothetical sense...you don't necessarily have to pay for it *Cough*....

nah. who cares about the hypothetical sense. It's only reality that matters in the modern world. What if's don't really do anything justice anymore.  :P

Norton & McAfee. Resource hogs and really don't protect any better than anything else.

Question: "If they're not good, why are they the two most widely known?"
      Answer: Marketing.

You see when I used Norton a while back I didn't have many issues with it, apart from memory hogging!

But I know its terrible now.

*cough* I think I used Norton 2005 I cannot remember.

I agree with quaxo, Norton & McAfee are horrible (although McAfee is the better of the 2).

Sophos is a nice AV too. I can get it for free from my university's computer servicing website.

Against what people are saying about Norton, I think it has improved in 2009. Starts up A LOT faster than it used to, and doesnt take much memory at all. I use that, and Kaspersky on my other 2 computers. I got 3 keys free for kaspersky, and 6 free for norton, so thats one reason why I am using them. (And yes, I got them for free legally lol).

I would have to agree that Norton 2009 is indeed a very good Antivirus, one of the top AV products out there.

Pretty surprising if you ask me, looking back at Norton 360. :P
