    Scan.msi for HP printer PSC1410

    Whenever i want to use the scanner component on my HP PSC 1410 scanner I get a message to search for and install scan.msi from my original disc. Unfortunately the original disk is bad.  How do I get this file?

      Try uninstalling all the HP stuff connected to that printer, and download the drivers from the site.

        I did download and install this file earlier after uninstalling the hp driver.  But it still did not work.  I was even asked during the installation to get the scan.msi file from an unknown destination.
