    « on: May 17, 2009, 01:00:34 PM »
I'm new ,but learnig, at computers.  my wife has an everex, stepnote, nm3500w laptop. A friend gave me a D-link dgl-4300 router. I bought anet gear wpn111 adaptor. I downloaded the drivers to my computer and her laptop. On my computer, it hits right away, on her laptop it doesn't do anything.  Any help?

The general method to solve this problem is given as this:
    1. Remove the drivers. Remove the device. Power down
    2. insert device. Power up
    3. When the system finds the new hardware, supply the CD for the device.
    4. Reboot. Install Network Wizard again. Reboot and it find start up.

There are some variations. One is to install the CD software BEFORE you insert the new device.

The is what they tell you to do. If you have done that and it still does not work, please come back here and I or another with help you with some more things to try.

What is the make and model. Some adapters have 5 or more drivers for what looks  like  the same adapter. Van drive you nuts!
