cannot connect to internet

please can someone help i cannot connect to internet modem showing two green lights but on bottom of the screen i place my mouse over 4 red sqaures
it says modem unpluged this modem is working ok on all other computers in house i tried downloading drivers ,also uninstalled and reinstalled modem disc unpluged computer and modem checked all wiring i am on vista
phoned my isp no help just telling me  to do what i have already done

is it turned on in your pc settings in my computer



my computer , change a setting , network connections , see if its connected

 and firewalled

Have you checked the device manager? I don't understand the thing about 4 squares. What do you receive when you try to open your internet browser?
