What would be the best antivirus for windows 2000? I just recieved somebodys old computer and it has no antivirus. I think it had viruses, ran superantispyware, but couldnt run malwarebytes because of low memory (128MB). WHat antivirus could run on this machine?

    Windows 2000
    128MB RAM

If you just got a second-hand computer you should wipe it out and reinstall win2k. That will take care of any viruses. That's what I always do when I get a used computer.

Avast is a good AV program.

I would try to upgrade the RAM. 128MB is okay for win2k but it will fly with 512.

Is there a sticker on the computer with the product key?

You could use a borrowed CD to do the wipe.

If you cant find your product key  http://magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/
      can find it for you.

Do you know anyone else with a win2k CD? Are there any computer clubs in your area?

If you simply cant do the reinstall, visit the malware board and let them help you clean it up.

http://www.free-av.com/ --> Avira Antivirus, another good antivirus that has free edition supports windows 2K so you can use that if you'd like.
