Come on, confess, you didn't really pull a spark plug did you?

I was just kidding..... I didn't really get two. :P
I most likely will be needing to upgrade my 16gb flash drive to 32gb in the next couple months though. I tend to kill flash drives after about a year. If a external harddrive could fit in my pocket and handle being thrown around, I might consider one of those to get away from the limited writes available to flash drives.

Aren't the flash drives supposed to support something like 30K transactions?

Granted, I had a Lexar quit after a year, but I have an Imation from the same time period which is still going.

I use my flash drive very heavily. hmmmm, I wonder if there is a utility that can track the amount of data transferred to a drive over time..... It would be interesting to see how much data I put on my flash drive during a month or year. I bet it's several hundred times over the storage capacity.

For the future try the coil wire, it's a lot easier.  You would have one *censored* of a repair bill if you broke off a spark plug in the block.  Plus spark plugs don't really like having the gap adjusted a lot.  The metal fatigues from the intense heat.

So, you're stating that heat was your diagnostic / correction tool??   ;D

To think just a few years ago,I bought the brand new 4GB USB drive.

HOW!!!!??!!!! How did they fit so much space into so little!!?!!!?!!?! It would make more since to buy a kit external hdd kit and put solid state hdds in it instead
Just wait 'till Phase-Change memory comes out.

          Eh...Pretty fancy  8)

Wonder if there using the FRAM chips on these, to store that much data probably would need a more reliable ROM technology(plus the added benefit of longer lifespan)

If you dont know DOS, you dont know Windows...

Thats why Bill Gates created the Windows NT Family.

you can't rewrite data on ROM, silly.
