Video card recognized as PCI to PCI bridge
    « on: June 30, 2009, 06:26:14 PM »
I got a new video card geforce 8400 and put it in and it worked and pulled up windows. Then I put my geforce 8800 gts back in and both video cards started up and then when it got to windows it all went black. I was forced to restart it and when it came back up the 8400 installed as a PCI to PCI bridge and I can't use it.

My motherboard is BIOSTAR NF520-A2 AM2 and I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

I solved my own problem. I put the 8400 back in by itself and loaded back into windows. Made sure it installed the latest geforce 8 series drivers from Nvidias website. Then I shut it back down and put both cards back in and windows defaulted the 8800 as the primary and the 8400 as secondary.
