Well it's up to you
« on: June 27, 2009, 02:05:27 PM »
Try this a friend just gave me this info but I'm not to sure.

1. If you lock yourself out out of your car, and the key's are in your car. You have a spare set at home, call someone mobile to mobile who can get your spare set of key's. Hold your mobile 12inc from your car door and get your friend to press the unlock button into there mobile even if your 500 miles away, your phone will transmit the signal and opens your car.

2. (May be only in England this one) If you are ever forced to remove money from a cash machine by a robber. Type in your pin backwards which immediately calls the police secretly to your exact location.

Let me know if this can be done  :D

No.

1. The first one won't work, because the device works by Remote- not by sound. Otherwise a thief could just simulate the beeping noise- or for that matter, use their own unlocker tool to unlock any car.

2. That just doesn't make any sense. May as well, have it say, "insert the first prime number after the square root of your pin number". completely arbitrary. additionally you have only one PIN number- if you put it in backwards, that means you have two (the backwards one as well as your standard forward one). And lastly- the bank would outline this as a security feature if it existed. Why implement a feature and never tell anybody? Definitely a wasted effort.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Yeah I get that. But Most of these remotes communicate to their respective devices via infrared (IR) signals and a few via radio signals.

So how many variables are there in every 'card number' in the world followed by every 'PIN' number in the world reversed against the common variable. I think about the same number of probabilities out there today.

Patio's reply is not only clever but hilarious! I know joke writers that wrote for the old laugh in show and J. Leno who couldn't have done better.

    Try this.

With your car keys, stand out of range of the car. Now point the remote to your temple/head and press Unlock.
You will find that the range of your remote has almost doubled.

    I know one like that...

Put a screw driver in your belly button and turn it counter clockwise.
It makes your bum fall off....

Yes, I can just see the thief now. Down on his knees, mouth to the keyhole, saying "beep...... BEEP...."
