    Do you have a Win2K CD ? ?
If so go to Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter...
    Let it finish and re-boot.

Hi, TY for answering. To recap. I did a full clean out/maintainance on my sister's compt. Now clean but when I open Add/Remove does not have the usual list of programs there. I feel that I have deleted something in error. TY. Will run sfc /scannow and report back. Boneyeye
