Windows messenger help

I am trying to use windows messenger, But everytime I try to use it I get a error box pop up that says my e-mail address has to be verified. Its say to go to my inbox to verify but they did not send me a message. any ideas?.

When you get this error dialog box does it give you any options e.g. Help etc...

Also you can try and log into Hotmail and check your Junk items?
