    « on: July 14, 2009, 01:35:35 PM »
    I've been trying to install Java on my friends computer. It keeps giving me an error #25099. Thank for any help.

    Installing on-line, or off-line?

      Try to download it first, and then install.

          This error indicates that the Java installation process has failed. Installation process can fail if process named 'Java Quick Starter ' (jqs.exe) is running and has not terminated after uninstallation.

          Chekc this out for a work around:

            Download Security Check from HERE, and save it to your Desktop.

                * Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
                * Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
                * A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

              Ok. I'll do that in a few minutes. Have to go to friends house, it's her computer I'm working on.

                OK, so no Java is installed.
                Where are you getting Java download from?
