I have a problem with spybot it will not update when I try it comes up with 'script read error'. never had a problem before. It is the 1.6.0 version. I tried installing the new version 1.6.2 but the computer will not load it. Everything else is fine, the internet etc works OK. I have run malaware bytes and avg and they have found nothing.
I am not sure what to do and why only spybot is the problem. I read something about rootkicks!!! Could that be the problem? If so why does it only affect spybot.
