    IE 8
    « on: July 31, 2009, 09:31:16 AM »
When i open IE 8 a message comes up that says "A program on my computer has corrupted my default search provider for IE" I can close the message and then another box opens to set my default search provider. I can then close that box and everything is fine. This does not create any problem other than it is anoying because it happens every time i open IE 8. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this?

Did you have this problem before you installed IE8?

Well, IE 8 didn't last long on my Win XP computer; I removed it shortly after installing it.  I suggest you uninstall IE 8, which will take you back to IE 7.  You might also try Firefox, a very popular browser; the latest version is 3.5.  Google it if interested.

This tells me you may have a malware problem........IE8 may be a coincidence......Run Malwarebytes and see if it catches anything.

8 supposebly still has issue's from what I am aware of.  Its  best to stick with seven even though it asking to update to it.
