    coprocessor
    « on: August 06, 2009, 08:09:54 AM »
Hi, I've bought a new dell laptop recently with Windows 7.

However when I've turned on windows, it says that one of my coprocessor's driver is not installed??? What does that mean? Is it something like one of my CPU in the "dual core" system is not installed?

    thanks

You bought a laptop with Windows 7 already on it?

that's a very strange error message-

a Coprocessor was an available add-on for very old PCs, up to the 486SX around 1994- since then the Coprocessor, also called a FPU, has been a part of the CPU itself rather then a separate unit; so I cannot really explain the message, myself.

What is the exact error message?

Are you indeed running Windows 7?

Did it come installed, or are you testing Windows 7?

hahahhaaha, sorry for the misunderstanding, mine is vista, I was testing out the trial windows 7 on another computer and got it confused. Only realised my mistake when i read all your replies.

I'm trying to find the error message again, can't seem to find it anymore.
