i need help

i have bought a netgear wireless pci card , though i have i have the right driver i cannot be installed. and when i try to istall a lan card its says the hardware cannot be stated ,  and this is a hp compaq desktop am talking about. i need help

What is the model of your compaq desktop and what model is your netgear wireless card you have?
