i have a relatively new hp laptop with vista and recently the sound started to malfunction. sometimes when i would try to listen to music no sound would come out of the speakers that for a while worked perfectly. so now the only sound i get is when i listen to itunes or when the computer turns on. but if i try to listen to anything on the internet no sound comes out, using either headphones or not. i haven't changed any settings and checked the sound settings and it all seems ok so i don't know whats going on? any ideas?? the internet i have been using google chrome and just to check i opened internet explorer and sound worked fine on it there. so im guessing its something to do with chrome but i still don't know how to fix it??
