Question about an error on bootup
    « on: September 30, 2009, 01:27:16 PM »
    Hi,

I just built a PC and every time it boots up I get a window stating that the nVidia NForce Network Controller software needs to be installed.

Everything runs fine if I bypass this message but it must mean something.

I am running software drivers for an nVidia 8800 GT on this PC, which has nVidia 7900 GTX cards.  But when I download the supposed drivers for the 7900 series I get the lowest resolution that I can't bring back to "normal".

This PC has a Linksys wireless router.

Is it something else other than the video drivers that are responsible for this?

    Thank you.

    AMD 3500+ Athlon CPU
2x nVidia 7900 GTX cards SLI
    Win XP sp3
    2 x 1GB memory
    ASUS A8N-SLI mb Premium

Your post is unclear - have you installed the nforce network controller driver? If not, go to the nvidia site and install it.

Is that the same as the video card driver?
