A serious answer here..
Every electronic/digital device is operating on an some variation of a program. Whether is be a simple light bulb or a sophisticated computer chip.
So what is a program? A program is a sequential series of events that produce a specific result or output desired.
Since the invention of the electric switch technology, we are able to turn lights on/off. When silicon technology was discovered, we were able to invent chips that emulate the simple light switch. A Off/On state.
As with the simple light switch, "Off or On" chip allow us to turn on or off on a much smaller scale. we control these chips with a program that communicates on a binary or basic level to what is now called a processor. The processor, the heart of every computing device recieves this structured programing and using very special codes designed for that particular processor, tells the rest of the world what the human programmer wants to do. It sends out either an on signal or an off signal for other devices to act upon.
SOOOOOOoooo,
With out a program or programming everything you now use with out thinking would stop...
At this point we would go back to lighting a fire stick for light, cooling our meat in the creek, and yelling across the meadow for samantha to come over.. OH and using diferent size rocks for money..
Hope this helped..
