Windows 2000 hangs when network path is not found
« on: June 13, 2005, 07:39:14 PM »
Hi,

I use mapped drives in two Windows 2000 machines in order to do batch runs in dos prompt accessing and launching from either machines . However, sometimes one of the machines is off and I want to turn on only one machine. Then, Windows 2000 always prompts a message when initializing:

error when trying to reconnect X:
to \\mymachine\workfolder
The network path is not found

And then asks if I want it to continue making the connections.

This does not happen in Windows XP. Anybody has an Idea on how to suppress this message in Windows 2000?

Thank you

Eduardo
