92 yr young mother has 90's Hp computer, locked in dos screen. Won't boot windows. Any help appreciated.

A: or C: ? ?

If C: type in CD\Windows and hit Enter...at the C:\Windows prompt type in Win and hit Enter.

For Patio, Thank you so very much. Your advice worked well. Computer was set to start Dos only. Apoligize for delay in posting this reply but family Med. emergency took priority.
