No such thing. To come close, you need a GOOD Anti-Virus utility (always resident and always updated with current definitions), some sort of firewall (Windows built-in firewall is fine, especially when combined with a router's NAT), a browser that has built in phishing site alerts (IE, Firefox, etc), and COMMON SENSE. You can then add Spyware Blaster and regular scans with Malware Bytes or Super AntiSpyware. Did I mention COMMON SENSE?

Thank you for your answer. For the firewall: I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. Does it contain a firewall and if it contains. Can be used at the same time with firewall for Windows.
Malware Bytes or Super AntiSpyware Is it enough of them. I have read in the link http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic, 46313.0.html
 that each one is different.
Excuse me, because my questions are many. I'm a novice

I'm a Kaspersky fan. If you are using KIS and scan with Malware Bytes and/or Super AntiSpyware you are fine. I'd still add Spyware Blaster as additional, passive protection (be sure to update it weekly). Then there's the common sense thing (I forget - did I already bring that up?). Do not open email attachments unless you are certain you know what they are and trust the sender, do not visit any site unless you are certain you know what it is and that you want to be there, do not respond to emails unless you are certain you know the sender, etc.

If you are using KIS you don't need to enable the Windows Firewall - but I'd check with their forum to be certain of the proper procedure(s) (I use KAV + my router - I don't use a 3rd party firewall so I'm not sure).

You will never ever be 100% secure.  But you need to get a good firewall and anti virus.  A good anti virus would be avast, for resident protection and malware bytes anti malware for scanning.

He already has a good anti-virus utility and we already discussed Malware Bytes.

Or... a Virtual Machine, if for some blasphemous reason the "something hazardous" requires windows. Of course that often means the "something hazardous" is also "something illegal"...

Linux distros aren't even close to being targeted, at least not for "drive-by" downloads or exploitation of browser flaws.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.
