MS.net framework program is corrupted. How do I repair it?
    « on: October 29, 2009, 02:23:56 PM »
I have: Compaq evo d310v,XP service pack 3 home edition.  Problem is the Microsoft.netframework programs are corrupted and some programs will not operate without them.  I have tried to uninstall using the control panel program removal utility but this will not do it.  Tried system restore but the problem occurred before the last available recovery point.  I have the original system set up disks.

Thanks.  When I try to download the net framework programs  I get the message that IE has a problem and must close.....When I try to remove the programs I get the message that the patch package cannot be opened.....
I have even switched to IE 6 from Ie 8 in case the prob might lie there.
Is it possible to use the Compaq restore disk to make a selective restoration??
