Problems in normal startup mode

Thanks Patio for your constructive help. So the ML6720 only came with the operating system disc.  I did make a laptop recovery disc a couple of years ago but that's it.  Any work around finding a vista disc?

I think telling someone who is very nicely trying to help me to "run" is neither constructive nor funny and something that is clearly going to offend the person who it is aimed at.

On the contrary, that's not what I was telling him. As I said, patio and I were sharing a moment of humor - it was a private joke and I assure you he understood it. It had nothing to do with you or your thread and as I said, no offense to you was intended.
