Well, don't like me too much. I already have more friends than I know what to do with. There's a 2 year waiting list just to get on my Christmas Card list.

    Here is what Microsoft says:

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

        *1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
*1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
*16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
*DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Uh, I think the system requirements have been covered well enough.  But, anyway, thanks for posting the link to the official source.

So I downloaded Windows 7 and I have to burn a bootable DVD so I could format. Upgrading from XP to 7 isn't possible.

How do I burn the bootable DVD??

When I extracted the iso file, i got this:

      Thanks :)

I gotta admit that Windows 7 installation is real pain in the *censored*. I've had like billion different errors. Somehow I've managed to get rid of them although there's the error code: 0x80070017 I can't get rid of....

Anyone of you has idea what' should I try to install that piece of junk successfully??

What the <censored> is that supposed to mean?

            EDIT

Because it's a pirated version of Windows? What does it matter. It works just like the original one but I haven't paid for it. Big deal...

Because it's a pirated version of Windows?

            Yes.

It doesn't "work the same" in order to "work the same" as the legitimate copy, it would have to "be the same" which means it wouldn't have the hacks to a number of core dll's in order to circumvent activation and what-not.

And without hacks to core dlls by self-proclaimed l33t haxxor's who's only redeeming quality is their ability to plagiarize perl scripts from the web your computer might not be as crashy.

OH! And even more important, it's in the forum rules, which you agreed to follow when you checked off that little box that said something along the lines of "I agree to abide by the forum rules".
