    Gentleman,
    I believe I've found the answer, thanks to your suggestion.
    Its a feature in Mozy Home. Go to config and disable icon overlay.
    "The red exclamation point means it is not backed up on our servers but will be when the next backup runs"

    So then, as a final statement on one point, it has nothing to do with macros in this case.  I don't believe wildwood ever made a single comment about macros.  ::)

    And, wildwood, do you have any insight now into why this just recently started to happen, even though you've used Mozy Home for a year or so?

      Hi Soybean,
      It seems to have nothing to do with macros. I disabled the icon overlay, on MozyHome", and everything was back to "normal". Newly created word docs did not include the red circle with the "!" , inside shortly thereafter. I have no clue as to why ,after one year, this should start happening.
