Windows 7 with ATI Radeon 9200

Hi,
I've just upgraded my son's PC - Pentium 4 1,7Ghz - to Windows 7.  I kenw that the drivers weren't available.  Once upgrade, the only resolution that I get, with the standard VGA driver is 800x600 or 1024x768.

My monitor is a LG L192WS, which can go up to 1440x900.

Is there a generic driver for VGA cards that gives more resolution choices then only those 2?

Win 7 probably installed the best driver, i.e. the generic one, that's available for it. Any chance you could upgrade the video card of that computer?
