My 8600 die from overheating but it could still show the bios posting and it will show the desktop if it is at 800x600 resolution. This made it useful for making sure that a PC worked before installing it in the case. I just put it back in the original machine to set it up for folding.
However it is not showing the post screen. Is it totally dead now or is there a way to bring it back enough so that I don't need to pay for a new card?
