    Setting up second HDD
    « on: December 05, 2009, 09:59:32 PM »
I have twin 320 Gb western Digital Caviar Blue HDD's. I want to use Windows 7's ability to image my 1st HDD which has 2 80 Gb partitions, one with XP Professional and one with Windows 7 Ultimate. The rest of the drive I am using for storage. Will Windows 7 be able to image both OS's and more importantly would it be able to restore one OS independently of the other or is it an all in one shot that would have to restore everything on the 1st hard drive?

Also, when I pull up Disk Management and right click on the second HDD I get a menu offering

    New Simple Volume
    New Spanned Volume
    New Striped Volume
    New Mirrored Volume

    Which option should I choose?

This is Microsofts site for Imaging, with the download is an exceptional how to on deployment and options.  I recommend reading it.
