    content on monitor sideways?

    I just received a call from my mom and she said that everything on her monitor screen is sideways.  would this probably be the video card?  It is an ibm computer.

      if that wont work try right clicking on the desktop and selecting graphics options -> Rotation

        I just found these replies.  I didnt get a reply notice to my email.  I actually got the correct answer from best buy on the control alt arrow repair.  I was suprised that they just didnt want to sell me a new card.  Thanks for all of the responses.

          Yes it was and I appreciate it.  I wish I had gotten a reply notice in my email.  It must have gotten caught up in my spam filter with yahoo mail.

          Actually, I like Quaxo's solution best.  It's simple and direct, and you don't need to remember any additional keystrokes.

          Plus his solution will work whether it's sideways or upside down.

            she actually had to do that until I got the advise on how to correct it.   she works from home so she didnt have any choice.  she is a cat lady and I figure one of her cats walked across the keyboard and turned it sideways.  maybe cats are smarter then we think and it was one of them doing a cruel joke ;)  My mail server is yahoo.  I have gotten all of the notices since then though.  Oh well

            Yep, it seems Computer Hope Admin has found the problem and fixed it. Anyway, glad you got it all sorted out now.  ;D
