    Dell Warranty Question
    « on: January 18, 2010, 10:09:00 AM »
    I would like to add a second hard drive to my computer for backup's and was wondering if that would void my warranty?

    Why wouldn't you ask Dell?

      Allan;
      I tried to for over an hour with no luck so I thought I'd ask here. Manufacturer's websites and dial up alway's seem to take forever!

      I own a bunch of Dells and have added hd's, optical drives, etc. On those occasions I've had to call for service the question never came up. Bottom line, how would they know anyway? If it ever needs to be returned or if Dell sends someone to fix your system, just remove the drive. Or not - I can't imagine it would matter.
