my first thoughts were a reboot to factory settings but I wanted to avoid it if poss. Ive had to do that to my computer in the past and its such a shame to lose everything... jess.....

the winxp is stuck in a loop.due to a damaged system file...tell him to always back up to disks......everybody has done it....lost data........^^^^^^^^^ and when you gone back to factory settings......do a virus scan before connecting to the net.....and get another firewall like sygate......
