I wouldnt worry about processes so much as why it is slow. Is this an old computer that needs an upgrade, clean up, or replacement?

What do you have for a system
    Ram =
    CPU =
    OS =
    HD Size=
How much free HD Space =

Also have you run a virus scan etc with latest definitions to verify that there are no malware/virus's slowing it down

After Windows loaded press Ctrl+Alt+Del - click 'Taskbar Manager'. Onthis windows you will see all procesess and
% of memory and CPU it's take.

Why are you responding to a post from June (and with bad response at that)?

A good and quick way of speeding up your machine is to do the following:

            1) Click Start>Run and type "msconfig" then click OK
            2) Go to the Startup tab on the System Configuration window
            3) Remove ticks from everything in the list apart from your AntiVirus/Firewall (these entries will be obvious - just look in the Command column)
            4) Click Apply>OK and restart your computer

You should also defrag your hard disk if you haven't done so already. You could also try the tipe listed on this site:
