    i have been told to do a, os configaration on my toshiba lap top, running on windows xp, my lap top takes 15 minutes to warm up, i was told on a toshiba forum that i require a os configaration to make start up quicker, how do i do this

      Probably they meant to remove some startup programs from the list. Click on Start -> Run and type msconfig

      In the "startup" tab, uncheck all that apply (all programs you do not need to be starting up when logging into your OS). You can remove anything, it doesn't matter. And also, which anti virus scanner are you using?

        i am running mcafee anti virus, i thought i would mention, i have just moved from firefox web browser, onto google chrome, i seem to open this quicker on start up
