Problem locating drivers
« on: January 25, 2010, 09:04:19 PM »
Hi. Anyway, here's the issue. I had a bad virus that blue-screened my computer  whenever I tried to boot my computer up. I reinstalled windows XP, but now none of my devices are working. It's not showing my sound card or graphics card, and I can't install them because it apparently can't find them (I think).

I don't know what the cards are, so I can't tell what I'm looking for, though I'm pretty sure graphics card is nVidia. I've never had this problem after re-installing XP before, help?

Download Everest from here:
http://majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

Open it, click Computer, then Summary.
In upper menu, go to Report>Quick Report-Summary.
Save it in a text file, and paste it in your next post.
Don't include anything under the line Debug - PCI

Also, let us know which devices have errors in device manager. Click start, then Run, and type in devmgmt.msc and press enter.
