    Hi Everybody

At the bottom of the   screen in excel are three symbols, one for “Count” one for “Average’ and one for “Sum” (or Total),                                                                                          The one for sum or (total) works fine m Nothing happens when I click on the sum (total) symbol   how do I get the Average  symbol to work?

You must select a age of items.
    Look here:
    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Calculate-the-average-of-a-group-of-numbers-e158ef61-421c-4839-8290-34d7b1e68283

Theabove shows there are a few ways to determin an average of a set of numbers.

Anseldom give r example, one kind of calculatiom is is Root Mean Sum.
Not  the same as a simple  average.
