How can I get Microsoft Excel only to show up once in the taskbar?

Additional information:

Microsoft Excel 2000 and above has a feature that will display each Microsoft Excel document as its own icon in the taskbar. For users who work on multiple Excel documents at one time or who want to save as much taskbar space as possible may wish to disable this feature. 

Answer:

Open Microsoft Excel and follow the below steps.

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click Options
  3. Click the View tab.
  4. Uncheck the "Windows in Taskbar" option.
  5. Click Ok.
