My jumpers don't have any pins only solider beads.

Question:

My jumpers don't have any pins only solider beads.

Answer:

Older computers may only have solider beads and not pins or dip switches. Generally, this type of jumper is found when attempting to clear passwords on older computers. To jump this type of jumper, obtain a flathead screwdriver and physically jump the beads by placing and holding the screwdriver on the beads that need to be jumped. While continuing to hold the screwdriver, turn on the computer.

This should jump the two beads and perform the proper action of the jumper. Once successful, turn off the computer and remove the screwdriver.

Note: do not remove the screwdriver while the computer is on.
