CREN

Short for Corporation for Research and Educational Networking, CREN is a not-for-profit corporation that was created after the merger of BITNET and CSNET in 1988. In 1996 CREN ended its support and since then the network has cease to exist and on January 7, 2003 CREN's members decided to dissolve the organization.
