Level
Sometimes
abbreviated as lvl, level is a term used to describe the overall status of a player. For example, in games that use level as a ranking method all players start off at level one. As the player increases his or her level by gaining experience they gain new abilities, are capable of venturing to other locations, can fight or kill higher level creatures or players, or obtain access to new clothes, armor, or weapons.

of Warcraft online game.
In MMO games, characters and creatures are primarily defined by their name, level and class/type. For example, Drrwho, Level 85 Druid or Onyxia, Level 82 Dragonkin.
