MCITP
Short for Microsoft Certified IT Professional, MCITP certification is a validation that an individual is familiar with and skilled enough to perform various jobs, including database administrator or enterprise messaging administrator, using Microsoft technologies.
Getting a MCITP certification is no easy task, as it requires an individual to get one or more MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) certifications and pass additional "PRO" exams. Because of this certifications difficulty, individuals who complete this certification are well respected in the IT industry and are more likely to land better paying, higher-end IT jobs.
